Meet The Team

I grew up on a fourth generation family farm in Idaho and graduated from Carroll College, earning baccalaureate degrees in nursing and spanish. I met my husband, Don, while we were students at Carroll College and we were married a month after graduation. I later graduated from Regis University with a masters in healthcare administration. After a successful decade-long career in healthcare leadership, I felt called to step away and focus on our family. I currently serve on the state-wide boards for Montana Catholic Conference and Catholic Social Services of Montana. In 2021, I created my professional photography business, Novella Lens Photography, and I am honored to provide most of the photography for The Mustard Seed Press. I enjoy gardening as a family, afternoon tea time, and reading about a variety of subjects. I love spending time adventuring throughout Montana, the greater Rocky Mountains, and the Pacific Northwest with my family. I treasure my Catholic faith, building authentic community, and calling Helena, MT home with my husband, children, our Greater Swiss/Bernese Mountain Dog, and an ever-increasing number of chickens.

I grew up in a small town in North Dakota and graduated from the University of Mary with a bachelors in nursing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working in various hospital and clinical settings for 8 years. Since entering into the wider community and parish life, I’ve led bible studies and have offered mentorship opportunities for women, college students, and high school students. I have served as the youth ministry coordinator at Saint Cyril and Methodius Parish in East Helena, MT for 5 years—helping to grow faith formation, discipleship groups, and fellowship opportunities for youth and families. I regularly speak to women and youth in my home diocese and beyond. My primary and most cherished roles are wife to Chris and mother to my two daughters. I love a bold cup of tea or coffee, a good book, recreating in the quiet and scenic Montana outdoors, and hosting from our home in the mountains.

I grew up in Helena, MT. and graduated from the University of Montana with degrees in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. I married right after graduating, and welcomed my first daughter a year later. Since then, my husband and I have welcomed three more children. I now stay with them at our home in Jefferson City, MT. We homeschool, something that is often (but not always) an experience of joyful learning. St. John Bosco is the patron of our homeschool, his motto a very fitting one for family life: Run, jump, shout–but do not sin. I enjoy writing about topics pertaining to motherhood, education, and the intersection of faith and culture. Often, I have a book in one hand and a baby in the other, with a cup of something lukewarm nearby.
